While I attempt to digest the whole silly Cardiologist thing, I figured the best diversion would be to play with some more WordPress hacks. So bright and early (ok - it was 9:30 by the time I got myself moving), I headed back to the WordPress Wiki to see what other fun features I could add to onesmartwoman.com.

One of the things that I’ve found frustrating with this layout is the navigation. After loading a single-post page, there’s no well-marked way to get back to the main page. The solution to that little annoyance is breadcrumbs.

Mark at Technically Incorrect designed a very nice breadcrumb navigation plug-in for WordPress (1.2 mingus), and implementing it was as simple as activating the plug-in in the WP admin GUI.

I’m not sure that I like the way it handles posts filed in more than one category, but it’s definitely an improvement. Thanks, Mark!
